Our first big boo boo

It happened....my baby had his first trip to the ER. Wednesday night I was getting Payton & Reynolds out of the tub. Apparently I wasn't moving quick enough for Reynolds and he stood up on the side of the tub. Before I could even get the words "get down before you get hurt" out of my mouth, he fell and hit the side of the tub with his jaw. I grabbed him and all I could see was blood. I had no idea where it was coming from or how bad it was. I (of course) panicked and ran him to Josh. [insert gratitude for Josh here] Josh took over, calmed everyone down, got Reynolds cleaned up, and drove us to the ER. The ER doctor determined that Reyn bit through his lip and knocked some teeth around. He glued up his lip and instructed us to see a dentist the next morning. We went to see Dr. Cole the next morning who told us that Reyn knocked three teeth loose (two on top, one on bottom). One of them was darkening slightly and may eventually need to be pulled, but for the time being we didn't have to do anything. Besides a lot of swelling and a lot of pain in the morning (he's fine once we get ibuprofen in him), he's been himself in every way! So thankful that he didn't injure himself more severely. Bathtubs are dangerous places!
