Pirate day at the library

11 months old

I can't believe we will have a one year old in a month! Sadie is weighing in at 22 lb 1 oz and is 28 inches long. She is able to stand without support and is starting to talk! Words she says: momma, dada, hi, cat, dog, and she's got her own special language for other things! She LOVES her siblings and animals. I'm convinced she will be a veterinarian or zoologist! She likes to look at books and really likes national geographic magazine! She is as joyful as ever and we are overjoyed to be her parents.

This child is BUSY....and smart. She likes to carry her little stool around to climb on things she can't reach. Yes, she keeps me on my toes but you gotta love those early problem solving skills!

Roaring River Resort

For our summer vacation, we went to my Uncle & Aunt's river resort in Cassville, MO. The original plan was to meet up with Josh's grandparents and dad from Chicago. Unfortunately, Josh's grandparents weren't able to make the trip, but his dad, brother, and sister were able to meet us there. His sister Katie also traveled up with us.
This was the perfect vacation for our kids! We spent our days swimming in the river, hiking, exploring, playing, and just hanging out. Absolutely no agenda! Josh's dad cooked every meal for us and let me tell you...my OB will not be happy with my next weigh in. ☺
It was just really a great place to spend quality family time. The kids were all sad to go and we were sad to get back our cell phone service. I highly recommend a vacation where you don't need nice clothes or makeup and you can go off the grid! I see us making this trip a yearly affair.

Church camp

Savannah & Payton attended Camp Solgohachia with Cross Life Church for 5 days. Savannah is an experienced camper but it was Payton's first year. This was such a great experience for them. I can see the ways God touched them while they were away. Savannah came back more mature and helpful and Payton came back with kinder words and actions. We are thankful they were able to attend such a great camp!
