Jesus is alive!!!

We have been studying the book of John in church this year in preparation for resurrection Sunday. I feel like my heart has really opened up to the cross and how I view it has been changed. The heart of Jesus continues to amaze me and every time I study the Bible I find out more about it. I felt open to talking to my children about the crucifixion and resurrection this year. It really made our Easter special.

Easter morning, we only had Sadie home. We let her see what goodies the Easter bunny left her and we went to church. Beautiful service!

After church and a siesta, we picked Reynolds up and headed to Arkansas to pick up Payton & Savannah. I was so happy to get all my kids back with me!! Becky, Poppa, and Grandma June came over to my parents house and we had dinner and an Easter egg hunt at the Greek Theatre at SAU.

We are so blessed to be able to have so many grandparents & great grandparents who are active in our kids lives. It was really a happy, blessed day! My heart is full and Jesus is alive!!

Spring Break

Spring Break unfortunately sends us in all different directions. Payton & Savannah spend the entire week with their mom. Reynolds spends half the week with his dad. And poor Josh doesn't have spring break for another month!
So, I tried to jam pack as much fun into my 1/2 of spring break with Reynolds as I could! Our original plan was to meet my sister & nieces in Missouri for the weekend but snow prevented that. Luckily, there was plenty going on to keep us busy!
Saturday morning, we went to one of Reynolds classmates birthday party.

She had an egg hunt and I'd say Reynolds did pretty good!!

This is Brynn, the birthday girl. According to Reynolds, she is his girlfriend and she's driving them to the movies. ;)
Saturday night, we went to Brittany William's home for some egg dying fun with our friends!

I've seriously got the best friends!

Sunday afternoon after church, we went to the church's preschool Easter egg hunt. It was cold & windy so it was held inside the chapel.

Learning about the resurrection.

Reynolds also got to write his first letter of apology. He didn't get a good report from his Sunday school teacher when we picked him up after church so I helped him write an apology letter. :)

Monday, we slept in and then headed to the park for a long day of playing and hiking!

And....Sadie turned 8 months old!

Tuesday, we bummed around. We cuddled and watched movies and cooked together. Probably one of my favorite days...no agenda! When Josh got home from work, we went back to the park to run around.

That brings us to today, Wednesday. My last day of spring break with Reynolds. We went to Monroe to the children's museum. I loved that Reynolds called all the exhibits "works". Montessori has definitely made its mark on him!

Whoa! He FLEW down that pole!

So, farewell spring break. I really enjoyed my time with Reynolds this week. Now, I'll have a few quiet (too quiet) days at home before all the kids come back. Oh happy day when we are all together again!!

A Montessori Easter

Today was Reynolds Easter party at school. They played pin the tail on the bunny, got their faces painted, busted a piƱata, and had an egg hunt at the Russ house.
